Picturesquely curved, juicy green landscape formations, behind which the Alps ruggedly, precipitously, and protectively set the scene. Golfing has a great deal to do with quiet and concentration – and with great respect and love for nature.
A spacious, deep-green valley in which, behind mossy, wooded pastures, the Rienza-Rienz glitteringly flows: for many, the Val Pusteria-Pustertal valley is the loveliest corner of South Tyrol-Südtirol. And precisely here, right at the foot of the Plan de Corones-Kronplatz, is where the Golfclub Pustertal also extends its greenery. A golf course which lavishly embeds the beauty of the area in its grounds.
Located right next to the Sportpark Reiperting in Riscone-Reischach near Brunico-Bruneck, the golf club, which is idyllically situated amidst woods, meadows, and pastures, offers a nine hold course. It is par 34, with 5,510 m (6,026 yd.) of fairways, or else 4,912 m (5,372 yd.) for women. The expansion by another nine holes is being planned. The “tenth hole”, the clubhouse, rounds out the impressions of surrounding nature with delicacies of South Tyrol-Südtirol and Mediterranean cuisine. Because with golfing, there is a place for both sunshine and some good wine in the course of the day.
Anyone who doesn’t have a handicap yet or who just wants to try out golfing while on vacation will find a tried and tested practice area at the Golfclub Pustertal. Next to the clubhouse are the grounds with the driving range, chipping green, practice bunker, and two putting greens. The fine techniques will be shown at the golf school, which also offers courses to earn the license to play at German golf courses from April to November in individual or group lessons.
Small but fine: the 3-hole golf course from the Golf Club Mirabell in Valdaora-Olang is a sunny, well-laid out course which is particularly suitable for beginners and for trainings.
