Horseback riding

What an adventure!

Getting just a little bit closer to heaven: the much-praised greatest happiness on earth appears to be especially dear to the people of the Val Pusteria-Pustertal valley.  What speaks for this is the more than impressive selection of horseback riding stables in the Kronplatz region. Anyone who would like to explore the colorful forests and meadows on a comfortable to adventurous ride is served just as well here as the ambitious horse fanatics who wish to improve their riding skills in the hippodrome or at the equestrian arena. Those who are curious, novices, and specialists all enjoy themselves with western riding in the footsteps of the Lone Ranger and John Wayne, with guided pony rides, or with tranquil sleigh rides.

Straw-blond manes

When the robust and yet light-footed chestnut horses with their characteristic straw-blond manes thunder down the Alpine pastures at a furious gallop, it is not just horse fanatics whose hearts begin to race. They are proud, the South Tyroleans-Südtiroler, of their pleasant Haflinger horses. Charming and trusting, fond of children and patient, the original mountain horse today masters all equestrian challenges. A riding tour through the landscapes of South Tyrol-Südtirol has to be tried at least once on a Haflinger which, sure of foot and accustomed to cross-country mobility, wonderfully finds its way even on the higher and steeper terrain.
