Directions

From the tourist information office at Monguelfo follow Via Stazione, cross the bridge and, following the sign for the cycle path in the direction of Valdaora, walk a few more metres to reach the cycle path on the right, before the subway. After approx. 5 km, at the end of the dam, you cross a road on which you continue slightly uphill to the left. At the crossroads after the cemetery in Valdaora di Sopra, turn left and follow trail no. 39 through wide meadows and fields to the Salla farmhouse at 1239m. There, a magnificent panorama is offered for beautiful photo motives. After a short rest, continue for another approx. 2.5 km through the forest before a fantastic view opens up over Monguelfo and the entrance to the Val Casies valley. We descend and the long, but worthwhile hike comes to an end.
