You are interested in cultural highlights? Are you keen to explore our picturesque side valleys along the Pustertal Valley Cycle Route? Take the cable car to admire impressive panoramas? The long-distance trail Munich-Venice

567 km and 3,000 metres of altitude. The long-distance trail Munich-Venice will set the hearts of passionate cyclists racing, who dream of varied landscapes, breathtaking panoramas and endless pedalling. Starting in the Bavarian capital of Munich, the cycle path crosses 3 countries and leads in 9 sections from the Alpine foreland in southern Germany past the Dolomites to the lagoon city of Venice. The itinerary is divided into 5 adventure worlds – one of which leads right through our bike region conveying the Alpine-Mediterranean lifestyle.

The Drau cycle path

It also ranks among the very favourites of all long-distance enthusiasts: Along the Drau river, the homonymous Drau cycle path connects the town of Toblach/Dobbiaco in the Pustertal valley with Varaždin in Croatia and leads on a total distance of 510 km in 7 sections from the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage past the Austrian Alps and all the way to the Pannonian lowlands. Our highlight is, of course, the first section. Where the Drau river rises, is where the bicycle tour begins. This is the section that links Toblach with Lienz in East Tyrol along a stretch of approx. 50 km.
